AugustHydraugers are one of the most cost effective means of stabilizing slopes. August Construction installed hundreds of hydraugers at the Getty Museum before it was built. Hydraugers are constructed by drilling a hole into a slope (angled up about 5% from horizontal), installing a slotted pipe and then sealing the pipe with grout at the face of the slope outlet. The outlets are frequently connected to some discharge area. This type of drainage allows water to escape from inside the hill before it saturates the face of the slope. Call us if you have a need.
