Harley Davidson goes underground in Marina Del Rey

Bartell's Harley Davidson is expanding their showroom and adding subterranean parking to their facility in Marina Del Rey .  Haines & Assoc, the general contractor, coordinated the effort. August Construction, using beam and plate, provided the "positive" shoring system and excavated the pit in under 12 working days. The vitue of "positive" shoring is that the shoring is installed before any excavation takes place.  Don Young of Burnett & Young provided the engineering for the beam and plate system.
