ANHAUSER-BUSCH
gets a shoring pit built with a beam & steel plate shoring system. The steel beams and plates forms the exterior of the pit,
which was all vibrated into place, saving
valuable time by eliminating backfilling and wood lagging (a time
consuming process). And
most important, this is a 'POSITIVE SHORING SYSTEM'. The entire
shoring system is completely installed from the ground surface and prior
to any excavation, eliminating raveling and the potential for future
settlement - a big issue with clients and agencies that end up footing
repair bills years later as the ground settles in from loosened soils.
The
steel mats forming the walls of the pit were prepared above grade and then lowered into the 25 foot
deep pit. The walls poured using a one sided form. SPEC, the
general contractor, installed their unique mechanicals processing
equipment, for handling the processed barley grain. . |
